Soccer started it all
I started playing organized soccer at an age of 11. I loved the sport, and it gave me a great work ethic to always improve. By 16, my hard work had paid off as I played for my first competitive team the Toronto High Park FC U21 men's team. I continued to play on this team for the next 3 years until university and summer jobs took too much of my time. I still play in recreational leagues to this day.
Ultimate Frisbee
I started playing ultimate frisbee in high school due to my natural speed. I wasn't the most talented thrower, but still got MVP on my fairly weak high school team. Going to university was a completely different story, and I didn't make the team until 3rd year. We practiced everyday at 7am for three months straight and came away with a 3rd place finish at nationals
Rock Climbing
I liked rock climbing from an early age from birthday parties at Joe Rockheads. Since then, climbing has absolutely exploded in Toronto, and I am a member of the Boulderz climbing gym.
I've been climbing at Devil's Glen, Halfway Log Dump and Rattlesnake Point in Ontario.
In the summer of 2016 I went to Bishop California and climbed in the Buttermilks and the Happy/Sad boulders.
Snowboarding
I started skiing at an age of 11 but quickly switched to snowboarding to do more tricks. I used to have a complete video, but it has been lost in time. While snowboarding does take an incredible amount of skill, I find it to be one of the most relaxing activities. It's just you and the mountain.
Cycle Touring
I have always had a passion for biking, and in the summer of 2015 I had time to bike the west coast from Vancouver to San Francisco. The entire trip took 26 days and was a little over 2000km. More information about the trip can be found here
